Scamnesty 2010

Trading Standards along with the Office of Fair Trading in London are participating in a Scamnesty event for the month of February 2010.

The main aim of the campaign is to make the general public aware of the scams that are received via mail, e-mail and telephone, these can include fake lotteries and prize draws, bogus psychic predictions, get rich schemes to name a few.

We have arranged that bins are located in the following buildings so that the scam mail can posted and analysed for the Office of Faire Trading. 

Sites are located at Carmarthenshire Customer Service Centres in Ammanford Carmarthen and Llanelli, Ammanford Carmarthen Llanelli Libraries, Ammanford Carmarthen Llanelli Citizen's Advice Bureau's and Age Concern Llanelli .
