From recycling materials to improving the way places look, from conserving wildlife to enjoying the natural world. The way we use our resources today affects quality of life tomorrow.
The Environment Partnership (EP) meets to ensure that the environment of Carmarthenshire is protected and enhanced. Its key priorities are:
- Addressing Climate Change – Taken forward by the Sustainable Carmarthenshire Group
- Sustainable Resource Use – Taken forward by the Waste Forum and the Sustainable Carmarthenshire Group
- Distinctive Biodiversity, Landscapes and Seascapes – Taken forward by the Local Biodiversity Action Plan Group and the Executive Committee
- Our Local Environment – Taken forward by the Executive Committee
- Environmental Hazards – Taken forward by the Environmental Protection Team of Carmarthenshire County Council (For further information call 08456 580 445)
- Local Transport – Taken forward by the Transport Team at Carmarthenshire County Council
- Sustainable Development (SD) – The EP has also been given the responsibility of coordinating the Local Service Board SD priority.
